Mirrors

The colors of the stars met the twinkle of her eyes almost as to trade traits. For that moment, nothing else mattered. With the wind at her face, the chemical taste, the waves crashed slowly as to keep the pace of the impending darkness creeping in. She looked into his eyes and saw a lack of color; but were they just mirrors on the face of her brother that made her see how she felt inside? She gazed into the beads of his eyes as she dove deeper into her core. Were they one in the same- two lost souls unable to be tamed? With only a heart and a name to their names? He whispered “you’re okay” and at once all color came back. There were flowers of purple and a pretty light track. Their eyes deceived a more beautiful earth, that the thoughts in their head had given birth- to, three, four times as night time became fine and the same signs appeared in their wicked minds. They knew this perfect night would come to an end. The sun would bring morning and real life would bend- this illusion of pefection; life as a perfect game. the slim girl and gentle man were one in the same.
